Meet the Office Staff

Charles Johnson

President

Growing up in a family rooted in agriculture, I was fortunate to learn the produce business from my father and grandfather, whose commitment to growers and customers helped build the foundation of Charles Johnson Company. After graduating from Southern Methodist University in 1978, I joined the family business and have spent more than four decades helping guide its growth throughout New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona.

Today I oversee company operations, grower partnerships, sales, and customer relationships while working closely with our team to deliver high quality onions, lettuce, and fresh produce across North America. I take great pride in the long standing relationships we have built and in continuing a family legacy that spans three generations.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and supporting the future of agriculture in our region.

Jacolby Sosa

Head of Operations

Born and raised in Raymondville, South Texas, onions have been part of my world for as long as I can remember. After spending 10 summers working at our Desert Air Cooling warehouse, I joined the main office after graduating from NMSU.

Today I help oversee daily shed operations, including communications between our sheds and sales team, tracking supply inventory, managing field tickets, coordinating onion sizing and packaging, and maintaining PTI labels and traceability. I also oversee food safety procedures and help coordinate special pack orders to ensure product quality and compliance. In addition, I prepare and help keep everything running smoothly from the sheds through shipment.

Working alongside my cousin and brother and the rest of our amazing family makes this job even more special. Outside the office you will usually find me on the pickleball court.

Aliah Sandoval

Accounts Recievable

Hi, I’m Aliah! I manage accounts receivable and billing, including invoices, passings, and slow payments, while helping ensure our traceability systems stay accurate and organized. I work closely with our team to keep financial processes running smoothly and to support the flow of information between our sheds, sales team, and customers.

Attention to detail is a big part of my role, whether I am tracking documentation, managing billing records, or helping maintain compliance and traceability across shipments. I enjoy being part of a team that works hard to keep everything moving efficiently behind the scenes.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and relaxing with my two cats. I am excited to continue growing with the team and taking on new challenges.

Mike Davis

Sales

From June through August, I manage my sales accounts in our New Mexico office, working closely with customers and our team to keep things moving smoothly during the busy season.

The rest of the year I operate my company, Tex Mex Sales, in Weslaco, Texas, where we focus on growing, packing, and supplying high quality onions from the Rio Grande Valley. Working in both places allows me to stay closely connected to growers, customers, and the flow of product from the field to the market.

I believe in staying hands on, solving problems quickly, and making sure our customers always have the product they need when they need it.

Outside of work I am a proud husband and father who enjoys spending time with my family, swimming, staying active, and being outdoors.
