Meet the Office Staff
Shelbey Quintanilla
Director of Sales
I’m a proud Las Cruces native, NMSU alum, and fourth-generation member of my family in the produce industry. With over 11 years here at CJC, I’ve been hands-on in many parts of the business—managing sales, food safety, logistics claims, payables, receivables and supply inventory.
My passion for this work runs deep, rooted in my family’s legacy and inspired by the memories of my late best friend Kelley Johnson, my mom Patti, and my grandfather. With 15 family members still working in our fields and sheds, continuing their legacy means everything to me.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mom, plant lover, and someone who’s always up for a challenge.

Jacolby Sosa
Head of Operations
Born and raised in Raymondville, South Texas, onions have been part of my world for as long as I can remember. After 10 summers at our Desert Air Cooling warehouse, I joined the main office after graduating from NMSU.
Now, I handle shed communications, track supply inventory, field tickets, onion sizing, packaging and PTI labels, and help coordinate special pack orders. I also create bills of ladings and keep things running smoothly between the sheds and our sales team.
Working alongside my cousin and brother—and the rest of our amazing family—makes this job even more special. Outside the office, you’ll usually find me on the pickleball court!

Aliah Sandoval
Accounts Recievable
Hi, I’m Aliah! I handle passings, invoices, and slow payments, while also ensuring traceability is always on point. I keep our financial processes running smoothly. Outside of work, I’m lucky to share my life with my boyfriend, Charley Johnson III, and our two cats, who always add a bit of fun! I’m excited to continue growing with the team and taking on new challenges.

Mike Davis
Sales
From June to August, I handle my sales accounts in our NM office, making sure things run smoothly during the busy season. The rest of the year, you can find me working at my company Tex Mex Sales in Weslaco, TX. I’m all about getting the job done and making sure our clients get what they need. Outside of work, I like to swim and stay active. I focus on results, and I’m here to keep things moving.

Crystal Varney
Accounts Payable
Hi, I’m Crystal, and I make sure our monthly bills are taken care of and everything stays on track. I also serve as the boss’s personal assistant, helping with tasks both in the office and at home to keep him organized and on track. Outside of work, I’m a busy mom to two energetic boys and a sweet little girl, and they definitely keep me on my toes! I love balancing my professional responsibilities with family life and am always ready to take on whatever comes my way.

Jacob Sosa II
Head of Transportation
I coordinate transportation for our delivered sales orders, directly sourcing and booking trucks through trusted, long-term broker relationships. I ensure our products are delivered on time and in excellent condition while staying up to date on the latest freight rate trends to make cost-effective decisions. My focus is on efficient execution and smooth logistics to keep our transportation operations running at their best. Ask me about the latest freight rates!

Amador Quintanilla
Grower Relations
I meet with growers, oversee our products, and ensure our the harvesting process is getting managed correctly. I oversee the planting schedule for our farms, ensuring everything is aligned and on track.
I’m committed to building strong relationships with growers and maintaining the highest quality from planting to harvest.

Tim McNeeley
Operations Supervisor
I oversee the vacuum cooler at Desert Air Cooling. I supervise dispatch orders and loading for our Colorado iceberg crop, making sure everything stays on track and gets where it needs to be. When I’m not managing dispatch, I’m focused on getting results and ensuring our team stays on top of the job. I’m here to keep things moving and get the job done right.
